All About Me

My name is Toni and I am a wife and a mother of two. I was an elementary school teacher for 8 years and left the classroom before the birth of my second child to stay home with my little ones.
My experiences throughout my pregnancies and very different births, both of which included the support of an amazing doula, inspired me to take this path. I have felt the pull since the birth of my daughter and after the birth of my son, I couldn’t put off what I knew God was calling me towards. In June of 2024, I attended a DONA approved doula training and began my new vocation as a birth doula.
I hope to combine my love of teaching, along with my passion for all things birth, in order to provide women with support and information so they can feel confident making informed choices that leave them feeling empowered. Every woman deserves to birth in the way that brings her joy and peace and every woman deserves a doula! I look forward to the great privilege of being a small part of that journey.
There can be immense joy found in this season of your life. I believe that with information, support, and learning to listen to your intuition, you can have a birth experience that will give you the strength to take on all that motherhood throws your way.

Behind the Name

While pregnant with my son, I found myself wanting to be more proactive in my birth preparations than I had the first time around. One of the ways I did this was by creating a list of affirmations to read in labor. On this list, there were several mind-body reminders as well as several scriptures that I felt would give me strength. While in labor, before I could even get out the affirmations, I found myself humming through contractions as they became more intense through the night. I was a bit surprised as this wasn’t something I did consciously. The song that came to my lips was “Joy in the Morning,” and the scripture began to echo in my head. I knew in that moment that my joy, my baby, would be here in the morning.

“Weeping may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning.”

-Psalm 30:5

Many physiological births will statistically begin during the night so we can quite literally in that aspect have peace knowing that joy will come in the morning. While the baby is certainly the pinnacle of that joy, I want my clients to know that there can also be immense joy found in the entire process, labor included! In finding your strength, in the transformative nature of surrender, and in the depths of the night, do not lose hope, your joy is coming!
